Wilmington, DE 19808 (302) 992-5520  Directions/Map     Mission Statement Instructional Vision McKean will become THE center of innovative, personalized teaching and learning, where maximized use of available instructional time is done through Small Learning Communities (SLC’s)/programs of study in a safe, nurturing, and technologically advanced environment; where motivated students, qualified staff, supportive parents, and involved community partner’s function as the driving force to prepare students to become self-motivated, self-disciplined, and socially responsible citizens in a complex world. Instructional Mission McKean staff will create a personalized learning environment with the utilization of student specific data from DSTP, PSAT, RIT scores and career interest surveys to aide in student placement in course levels. By personalizing our instruction, our students will have a stronger sense of belonging and connectedness with our staff and our school.
